City of Boca Raton Announces City-Wide COVID-19 Recovery Effort

As part of this initiative, the City is asking residents, visitors and businesses to show their support by taking the READY. STEADY. BOCA! pledge. Community partners such as the Boca Raton Airport Authority, Boca Raton Innovation Campus, Baptist Health South Florida – Boca Raton Regional Hospital and the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce have already pledged their commitment.

Ariana Grande helps county reach younger voters

You have to reach younger voters where they live…on social media, Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link said at Boca Raton Innovation Campus’ webinar on the local elections. “The youth vote is a different type. We are not going to get millennials excited,” she said. “Ariana Grande did two messages on her Instagram for us.” Boldin did a public service announcement posted on the Supervisor of Election’s web site. “They put it on their social media to push it out. Let’s try to reach them where they are,” she added.

Boca Raton real estate firm hires its own doctor to navigate the pandemic

Crocker Partners in Boca Raton decided it needed its own director of environmental health. Will other companies follow? Dr. Walter Okoroanyanwu is the new director of environmental health for Crocker Partners. Okoroanyanwu, whose background is in epidemiology and HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention, is tapping his contacts with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Emory University Rollins School of Public Health, both in Atlanta, and Rutgers University in New Jersey. He has a master’s degree in public health from Emory and an MBA from Rutgers.
