Holiday tree lighting collecting toys for Spirit of Giving

CP Group will be ringing in the holiday spirit with its annual Community Holiday Tree Lighting event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, 5000 T-Rex Ave.The public event will be highlighted by a 40-foot tree filled with thousands of twinkling LED lights and hundreds of ornaments. The festivities will include meet-and-greets with Santa, performances, photo opportunities and a food truck lane. WPTV-Ch. 5 chief meteorologist Steve Weagle will serve as the event’s emcee.

Art And Technology Collide In South Florida

South Florida unveiled Rocket as one of the largest outdoor sculptures ever chosen for a public art initiative in Palm Beach County. Rocket is surrounded by historic buildings designed by Marcel Breuer in the 1960s, and blends the style from the buildings and brings a modern take to the location.

As guests arrive at the yuletide destination, they will drive through an illuminated “Snowflake Lane” into a winter wonderland of memory-making fun, festivities, entertainment and food in countdown to the lighting of a 40-foot Christmas tree donned in thousands of twinkling LED lights. The event is free and open to the public (not to mention free parking) and benefits Spirit of Giving and the Junior League of Boca Raton. Be sure to bring a new and unwrapped toy to donate! WPTV Chief Meteorologist Steve Weagle is even serving as Emcee.
