BOCA RATON, Fla. –Crocker Partners (BRiC) has announced that Canon Solutions America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., has officially moved into the almost fully-occupied Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC). The company will occupy 127,000 square feet at BRiC, the largest executed lease in Boca Raton in over a year.
“Our vision for BRiC is to transform the campus into a technology and life sciences hub for the Southeastern United States,” said Angelo Bianco, Managing Partner for Crocker Partners. “Canon Solutions America had an appreciation for the first-class amenities we are creating on campus and wanted to be part of our long-term vision for the campus as an innovation ecosystem. They are the perfect addition to the culture we are fostering at BRiC.”
Canon Solutions America moved to BRiC from across the street at 5600 Broken Sound Boulevard. Its new space was originally a warehouse which had been unoccupied since 2012, when it served as Boca Raton’s post office. Designed by global architecture, planning and design firm CallisonRTKL, the space has been converted into a state-of-the-art showroom, including a newly designed floating canopy entrance and Class A lobby which will welcome visitors from all over the world. The project also included the transformation of a mezzanine, which had not been occupied since IBM inhabited the space, into a collaborative, open-ceiling workspace that can seat 200 employees.
“We are beyond excited for the opportunities that our new home at BRiC will afford us,” said Shinichi (Sam) Yoshida, chairman and CEO, Canon Solutions America, Inc. “In particular, we are proud to open our best-in-class Customer Innovation Center, which is equipped with advanced inkjet technology and the latest devices and solutions for enterprise, large format, and production printing from Canon.”
